The naked truth: most recycling programs do not accept china or ceramic plates and bowls, and as an eco warrior, that is not something that you want to leave to chance.
Whether you are into making acai and smoothie bowls, in love with cooking, likes to eat, always starving (oops), or just looking for some instagrammable bowls, these coconut bowls are right for you.
Our coconut bowls are 100% natural, biodegradable and compostable, as they are made entirely from coconut shells. And there is no need to be extra careful, in fact being clumsy is entirely okay as these bowls are bump resistant, sturdy and long lasting.
dimensions
You see, nobody is perfect, so are these coconut bowls.
Coconut shells are imperfectly circular, so there may be slight differences in their size and shape. So, we sorted it into two sizes: Wee that has a diameter of 12cm to 13cm and Wide, which has a diameter of 14cm to 16cm.
care & cleaning
Cleaning your coconut bowl is easier than your skincare routine. All you have to do is to hand wash it with lukewarm soapy water. On the other hand, here's a few no-nos:
- Do not wash it in the dishwasher.
- Do not use very hot water when washing it.
- Do not soak it for a long period of time.
- Do not expose it to extreme temperatures.
- Do not place it in refrigerator, microwave or oven.
These bowls are made from discarded coconut shells. They are cut, sanded, cleansed and polished. If you want to maintain their polished look, polish it with coconut oil every ten or so washes. To ensure durability, prepare your bowl for the change in temperature by first rinsing your bowl in lukewarm water for warm food and in cool water for cooler food.
